·     All men are invited to participate in SMC Men's Choir. We will practice this Wednesday, May 7 from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. We will sing during worship on Sunday, May 11. ·     Mark Your Calendar ~ Sunday, June 1 is Children's Sunday. We will have one joint worship service at 10 a.m. led by the children. Join us after the service for a Fellowship Meal. Details to follow soon.

Ministry Opportunities
·     We are looking for someone to interpret one or two times a month for those who are hearing-impaired and wish to attend the 11:15 a.m. worship service. If interested, please contact Sandy Drescher-Lehman at 215-723-3088 x17
·     The Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Project for May is TOWELS. Good quality; any color but white; medium weight preferred. Fingertip towels and washcloths are not needed. The versatility of towels make them a frequently requested item. People in places such as Bosnia, Haiti, Palestine, and Ukraine have received towels. Please leave the towels at the MCC table in the hallway.
·     Everyone is welcome to come together in prayer on Sunday mornings from 7:15  to 8:15 a.m. in the church sanctuary. We pray for that day's services, the needs of the church, and the pastors. If you have questions about this, or any other Prayer Ministry Activities, please talk to Don Brunk or Steve Benner.

·     Quakertown Christian School will host its 49th Annual Country Auction & Fair on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10. See the complete schedule at www.quakertownchristian.org or 215-536-6970.
·     Come to Souderton Mennonite Home's Mother's Day Plant Sale, "Left Behind Treasures Flea Market, and Bake Sale on Saturday, May 10 at the Pavilion at SMH. Baked goods are needed for a successful sale. If you can donate your favorite goodies, please bring them to the Pavilion that day.
·     Towamencin Mennonite Church invites everyone to their Annual Spring Yard Sale on Saturday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reserve a space for $10 to sell your own treasures - call 215-368-2450. Rain date: Saturday, May 17.
·     Life Screening at Zion Mennonite Church on Thursday, May 15 - Receive low-cost screenings to identify your risk for stroke, vascular diseases or osteoporosis. Call 800-324-1851 for prices and to register.

·     Penn View Christian School's 47th Annual Country Fair and Auction with Chicken Barbecue will be held on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17.  "Donut Man" LIVE in concert begins on Friday at 7 p.m. Free shuttle bus parking from Franconia Mennonite Church. ·     Bally Mennonite Church will serve a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 17 from 7 to 11 a.m. Donations will be accepted to provide funds for missionary work in Italy by the Krupp family.   For more information, call 610-845-7780.
·     Grand View Hospital Hospice Volunteers Training Course - Share your time and compassion with terminally ill patients and their families. Training includes instruction in Hospice philosophy, listening and communication skills, issues of death, dying, and grief, and practice information needed to assist patients and their families.
