SPECIAL MINISTRIES FOR DIFFERING ABILITIES

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of His one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we all are one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others. God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. ~ Romans 12:4-6

Our Purpose is to provide a safe, accessible, loving, and inclusive environment for people with special needs and their families in the church.

Our Goals are:

  • To provide an environment in which all children and adults with differing abilities ~ physical, cognitive, and sensory ~ are valued for who they are regardless of their differences.
  • To include people with differing abilities in the church, giving them opportunities to serve and to be part of Sunday School classes, as well as church activities. When needed, a "buddy" will be provided.
  • To support the families of those with differing abilities through prayer and encouragement.
  • To serve as a witness to the community for meeting the needs of persons with differing abilities spiritually, physically, and socially.
