Souderton Mennonite Church offers a variety of Sunday School classes for adults from 10:10 to 11:10 a.m. These classes provide a time of fellowship, prayer and discussion of the Bible as well as relevant issues we face in society today. We invite you to visit any of our classes.
Discovery - An intergenerational class, with a core group of young adults, who enjoy discussing relevant topics that encourage faithful Christian living. Social activities are held at different times. ~ Rooms 313/315
Genesis - We are a young class of singles and couples in their early 20s to early 40s. We have a casual atmosphere with open sharing and great class discussions, often based on a book series. Out of class we enjoy picnics and Christmas caroling at local retirement communities. ~ Rooms 304/6
Crusaders - Our class consists of singles and couples in their early 30s to late 40s. Class members lead discussion and sharing time using a variety of topics. We plan monthly class activities including service projects, picnics, and gym nights. ~ Room 116
Seekers - This is a caring group of couples and singles in their early 40s. Both Bible study and topical studies are used in encouraging discussion and sharing. Social activities and service projects are planned. ~ Room 119
Ambassadors - This is a caring group of couples and singles in their 40s to 50s. We use both the Bible and topical studies to encourage discussion and sharing. Social activities and service projects are planned. ~ Rooms 305/307
Mediators - This class of diverse persons from age 40 to 65 meets to study the Bible, as well as topical studies and books related to class interests. Quarterly social activities are planned. ~ Room 303
Faithful Workers - A diverse class -- members are married men and women, ages 40s to 60s. Study consists of the Bible and other topics. Social activities and service projects are planned. ~ Room 301
Encouragers - Members' ages range from 55 to 80 and include men and women, single and married. We usually study the International Lessons from the adult Bible Study Guide, led by class members. Class offerings support several mission projects. We enjoy connecting with international students, and plan varied social activities. ~ Rooms 300/302
Fishers of Men - This class is made up of men in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. We study the Bible, with class members as teachers. Class funds are given in support of two Haitian children through International Child Care, other missions projects, and a commitment to the Building Fund. ~ Room 310
Friendship - A group of married and single women ages 60+. An interesting variety of teachers guide the group through the scriptures being discussed. Sharing concerns and joys are always part of class time. Class members plan social events several times a year, with husbands and friends occasionally invited. A class offering is taken each Sunday to be used for class projects. ~ Room 311
Speaking of Faith - Learn to better understand the perspectives of people of different faiths and how they relate to your faith as a follower of Christ in this intergenerational class. We use Speaking of Faith with Krista Tippett on WHYY 91 FM on Sunday mornings from 7 to 8 a.m. as the basis for our discussion. ~ Room 308
Sojourners - This intergenerational class uses various resources for discussion, such as the morning message or a current issue facing Christians and the church. Class members share the discussion-leading responsibility. Sharing concerns and joys are an important part of who we are. We meet periodically for social events. ~ Room 202
Prayer Class - An intergenerational class for all who want to grow in their spiritual walk through corporate prayer, evangelistic prayer-based efforts, fellowship, and worship. Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer." Matthew 21:13. ~ Room 309
Connections Cafe - Building relationships, caring for one another, exploring the Bible, discovering more about ourselves and the Christian faith - all these and more happen every Sunday as men and women of all ages gather around tables, have refreshments, and experience the joys of community. We study a variety of topics ranging from books of the Bible to video series to specific topics.
