"Is anyone in trouble? They should pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone sick? They should call the elders of the church to pray... and the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up... the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective." - James 5:13-16
The Prayer Room
Souderton Mennonite Church has a room dedicated to prayer for the needs of our world, our community, and our church family. Participants are encouraged to sign up on the prayer room schedule to pray in the prayer room for one hour each week. There are different stations dedicated to different prayer needs... one for world needs, one for community needs, one for church staff & ministry needs, one for church family needs, and a station for personal prayer and cleansing. The prayer room is available for prayer twenty-four hours a day every week, and all participants agree to keep prayer requests in confidence.
Prayer requests may be called in to our 24-hour prayer request phone line at 215-723-3088 ext. 62 or emailed.
Prayer & Praise Gatheringb>
Each Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., a group of people gather in the Sanctuary for a time of worship and prayer. Anyone is welcome to join this group as they lift requests and needs to God in prayer.
Each week, there is also a prayer time set aside on Sunday mornings from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. in the sanctuary. Again, anyone is welcome to join in prayer with this group.
Every Tuesday morning from 6 to 7 a.m., a group gathers in the Prayer Room, downstairs near the Youth Center. The focus of the prayer time is partnering with God to transform our church and community. Anyone is welcome to join this group in prayer.
